December 2022 Broker Tip of the Month | Your End of Year Review and Quarter 1 Business Plan
Hey, everybody. Alan Hernandez here, Broker & Director of White Picket Realty with your Broker Tip of the Month. First off, thank you so much for all of the people out there who are viewing our page and our newsletter. We love you guys and we love being able to contribute to your growth and your business this month because it’s the end of the year and we’re running into the holidays.
One of the things that we want to make sure that we’re all thinking about is our end of the year review as well as our quarter one planning. And that includes a business plan that tells us the important parts about how we did this year and what we’re going to be doing next year to improve on. So if you haven’t started your business plan for quarter one, now is the time.
Take 5 to 10 minutes to sit down and start with these key seven items in order to prepare a rock star business plan. What are those seven items? First, start with your SWOT analysis. That’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. If you can answer what those items are for this year, you’ll find opportunities of growth in the upcoming year.
Notice we’re only working on quarter one, setting up everything for quarter one of 2023, and that’s because we’re taking small bites out of a giant elephant. Having specific goals is next. How much do you want to make? And most importantly, what are the things that give you fulfillment in life? Doing what you love is important to having and running a business on a daily basis and staying motivated.
Next, Strategic Plan. So determining what specific strategies you’re going to use for your specific goals. What that means for you is what are you going to be focused on? What is it that’s going to give you your edge? And what is it that you’re going to focus on growing into in this upcoming year. Timeframe is going to be the next part, a target audience understanding who it is that you’re going to be marketing to.
And last but not least, systems and processes. Do you have a specific system that you’re using for following up? Do you have a CRM in place already? If not, you must, must, must bring that into your business because it changes the dynamic of how you operate and allows you to handle more and more people. The more people we learn to help, the better we do.
